ABOUT COOKIES AND RETENTION PERIOD
Cookies are portions of code (computer files or partial data) sent by a server to the user’s Internet browser, automatically stored on the user’s device by that browser, and automatically sent back to the server each time the site is accessed or accessed thereafter.
Typically, a cookie contains the name of the website from which the cookie originates and the validity of the cookie (i.e. how long it will remain on the user’s device). On each subsequent visit, cookies are either sent back to the website that originated them (first-party cookies) or to another website that recognises them (third-party cookies). Cookies are useful as they allow a website to recognise a user’s device and serve various purposes, such as enabling efficient browsing between pages, remembering favourite sites and generally improving the browsing experience. They also help ensure that advertising content displayed online is better targeted to a user and their interests.
If the user decides to disable cookies, or particular categories of cookies, this may affect and/or limit their browsing experience on the Website, for instance, they may not be able to visit certain sections of the Website or they may not receive personalised information when they visit the Website. A cookie may also be ‘first-party’ or ‘third-party’ depending on the website or domain from which it originates. First-party cookies are cookies set and/or managed by the Website Owner. Third-party cookies are cookies set by a domain other than the one visited by the user. As regards third-party cookies, Movyon Electronics has no control over and no access to the information provided by the cookie.
This information is fully controlled by the third-party companies as described in their respective privacy and cookie policies.
Cookies may expire at the end of a browser session (the period between the user opening a browser window and closing it) or they may be retained for a longer period of time. The so-called ‘session’ cookies are those allowing websites to link a user’s actions during a single browsing session and are deleted when the user ends the browser session. ‘Persistent’ cookies are retained on a user’s device after individual browsing sessions, for variable periods of time, and allow storing the user’s preferences or actions in relation to a particular website. Through persistent cookies, users accessing the Website (or any other users using the same computer) are automatically recognised each time they visit.
HOW TO ACCEPT, BLOCK OR DELETE COOKIES
Website settings. Technical cookies are essential for the functioning of the Website and, as such, are set by default with no possibility for the user to disable their use. On the other hand, with regard to cookies or other tracking tools other than the technical ones set by default, the user may express their consent to their use by clicking on the ‘Accept all cookies’ button of the short cookie policy (so-called banner) visible during the first access to the Website and re-proposed to the user after a period of time of not less than six months from the previous display, or refuse such use by clicking, alternatively, on the ‘X’ closing button placed at the top right of the banner or on the ‘Reject all’ button. The options to restrict or block, one by one, the different types of cookies can be set by the user by clicking on the ‘Cookie setting’ button in the banner. Users may also adjust their preferences and/or change the preferences previously set or revoke their consent to the use of certain categories of cookies by accessing the ‘Review your cookie choices’ section in the Website footer at any time during each browsing experience.
Browser settings. Users may also set how cookies work, as well as options to restrict or block cookies, by directly modifying their Internet browser settings. Most Internet browsers are originally set to accept cookies automatically; however, users may change these settings to block cookies or to be notified whenever cookies are sent to their device. There are several ways to manage cookies via the browser. To this end, users should refer to the instruction manual or help screen of their browser to see how to adjust or change settings. Users may change the default settings and disable cookies (i.e. block them permanently on any website) by setting the highest level of protection.
Below are the steps to manage cookies in the main browsers:
Internet Explorer: http://windows.microsoft.com/it-it/windows7/block-enable-orallowcookies
Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/it-it/help/17442/windows-internet-explorerdelete- manage-cookies

However, if users use different devices to view and access the Website (e.g. computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.), they shall ensure that each browser on each device is set up to match their cookie preferences.
Device settings. Many operating systems allow restricting the tracking of advertising content associated with the user’s device ID. Users may change these settings directly from their device. For more information, the user guide for the operating system installed on the device or its support pages can be consulted.
Third-party cookies. By clicking on ‘Set Cookies’ in the banner appearing when accessing the Websites for the first time, and re-appearing after a period of not less than six months from the previous appearance, or by accessing the ‘Review Your Cookie Choices’ section in the footer of the Websites, users may disable entire categories of cookies or particular cookies. Users wishing not to receive third-party cookies on their device may also access the policies and consent forms of such third parties and opt out of their receipt.
